ATI TV Tuner
I can get dual monitor functionality and I can get my TV tuner to work, but not both at the same time. In dual monitor mode (which means booting PCI/AGP--something I learned on my own because ATI offered no support on the issue), when I try to start TV, I get: Unable to start TV--Ensure the correct video drivers

Need help with ATI dual monitor setup
BTW, I use the 2nd monitor for toolbars and directory stuff, work on graphics in the big guy. Matrox has always been the best at 2D and stuff like dual monitors. Supposedly this new ATI 8500 may give them a run for their money because the 2D isn't bad and it has a whole boatload of features like built-in Firewire

PROBLEM: ATI Radeon7500 lock-up in dual-monitor mode
If the monitor won't retain settings, it is either a problem in the monitor or an incompatibility with the video adapter. Either way, the "good" settings aren't retained because they force the power demands beyond inbuilt circuit breakers. It then reverts to default, "safe" settings. My guess is that the monitor

Dual monitor support for ATI Radeon?
Does somebody know if the latest release of WINXP beta already includes the multimonitor support for the Inspiron 8000 Laptop with ATI video chipset ? Are the drivers ready ? Currently, only the ati drivers for win98 and winMe support dual monitor (lcd + extended desktop on external monitor) on the I8000.

Matrox G550 vs. ATI Radeon 7500 dual head?
Does the fglrx driver Mandrake set-up for me support "dual-head/dual monitor" configs without having to download the ATI driver? I'm not too worried at this stage about 3D, open-GL etc, but I would like dual-monitors setting up as I plan on doing a lot of writing :) Fedora Core 2 seems to have been able to set-up

Pleeez Help!! Dual Monitor ATI Radeon 7000
Are you saying that you switched the monitors and got the same results with the other one? It *might* be that some limitation of the cable mimics conditions that the monitors see as something to protect against with default settings. Let us know if/when you get it figured out, OK?

Problem: Dual monitors or TV tuner, not both
There are a lot of cards that support 2 different monitor ports, but only one monitor at a time. The only Mac dual monitor cards I know of are the NVidia GeForce2 MX-TwinView, GeForce3, GeForce 4 MX, NVidia GeForce 4 Titanium, (and the latest NVidia in the G5), ATi Radeon 7500, 9000, 9700 and 9800.

Matrox vs Nividia vs ATi dual head cards?
THAT is how I ended up with an ATI Radeon 8500-128 meg in this system. I got tired of pronouncing video cards 'dead'. The ATI dual head cards have what is called Hydravision, it's a way of handling the dual monitors. The ATI card I have also shipped with a DVI to VGA adapter, so you can use two CRT type monitors at

I have a x550 Radeon in dual monitor mode with two identical LCDs from Princeton (1919). This is on windows XP pro with all latest patches applied.
